TANG FINANCIAL
Tang Financial was launched in 2014 to assist clients with optimisation through Structural Alpha including active and passive recovery opportunities through claims management.
We believe that local knowledge and presence is paramount to understanding our clients’ need and focus in the context of the society they operate within. We, therefore, work with Northern European institutional investors only. Our clients include some of the largest pension funds and asset managers in this region.
Jan Tang Sørensen is the CEO and founder of Tang Financial. Jan has a track record of leadership, financial product innovation and assisting Institutional Investors with structuring and re-structuring of investments and its related processes for return improvements.
Prior to founding Tang Financial, Jan was Head of Hedge Funds at PGGM, working with new structural standards for investments. The team twice received Financial News rewards for Most Pioneering European Institutional Investor in Hedge Funds. Previously he was at PFA Pension in Denmark, serving as head of Hedge Funds Investments. Prior to PFA, he worked as an Associate at Morgan Stanley in London.
Jan holds a Master of Business Administration with specialization in Finance from HEC (Paris), a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy with specialization in International Finance and Banking from the Fletcher School, Tufts University (Boston).

Hans Jørgen Larsen
Hans Jørgen has forty years of experience in the banking sector and has several years of board work experience. Until recently, he was Chairman of Jyske Invest Fund Management (Silkeborg) and Jyske SICAV (Luxembourg), now he acts as an ordinary member and is a board member of Fundcollect (Copenhagen). He was a Managing Director for Jyske Capital Markets (Silkeborg) where he was responsible for Investment Management, Clients, Fund Administration and Legal. Before that, he was Managing Director for Jyske Invest for more than 20 years. During his time in Jyske Bank he worked his way up from Chief Economist to Assistant Director of Finance and Treasury Management. Alongside Jyske Bank, Hans Jørgen also did board work Børsmæglerforeningen (the Securities Dealers Association) and has been ordinary member, vice chairman and chairman at InvesteringsFondsBranchen (the Investment Fund Industry).
Michele Klaassen
In September 2022, Michele was selected as Head of NewLaw at PwC where she is responsible for promoting NewLaw within the global repositioning of Legal as Legal Business Solutions. Prior to this, she has held various legal roles in the investment industry for the past twenty years, including at PGGM where she has acted as Head of Compliance (PGGM Investment Management), Head of Risk and Executive Director of the PGGM Institutional Managed Account Platform. Until 2022, she acted as General Counsel of PGGM Investment Management (Tax, Legal & Regulatory) Michele has a Master's Degree in Dutch Law at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam
Peter Carøe
Peter has 40 years of experience in the financial sector and is currently serving on a number of boards as Chairman, Board Member or Trustee. The companies operate within the real estate, infrastructure, or the private equity sectors. Peter’s past employment include Managing Director of a number of operating companies within Copenhagen Infrastructure Funds, Non-Executive Director of the PGGM IMAP hedge funds platform and Head of Alternative Investments at PFA Pension. Other experience from the financial sector involve employment at 2M Invest, Danske Bank, Unibank, DMK-Leasing and ATP
Marcel Jeucken
Dr Marcel Jeucken has more than 25 years of experience in finance and sustainability, from executive firm-wide management to hands-on implementation, research, sales, marketing, strategy, and communications. Marcel is founder and director of SustFin which offers independent advice and focuses on helping financial organizations globally to embrace and integrate sustainability in all its strategies and operations Prior to this Marcel was among others senior economist at Rabobank (Netherlands) and Managing Director Responsible Investments at PGGM (Netherlands). At PGGM he set up the responsible investment team responsible for integrating sustainability across all asset classes, executing active ownership (voting, engagement, litigation), policy development, innovation, and thought leadership. He served on PGGM’s investment committee and on industry network organisations like PRI, Eumedion and IIGCC. Marcel holds a Ph.D. on sustainability issues and the financial sector.
